I. Discussion: John informed the committee of a structure in Concord Township on the Sheffield/Manlius Road, a really good road that has a lot of traffic, that had been built back in 1957 and the sufficiency rating had dropped below 50%. John commented that, historically, we had utilized Willett, Hofmann and Associates as well as Hutchisson Engineering for engineering for our structures. However, Curtis Cook, previous County Engineer in Ogle County with whom John is very familiar, recently took a position with Chastain and Associates. John is familiar with Curtis’ credentials as well as how he handles things and has every confidence it would be beneficial to have Mr. Cook performing the engineering services for this structure replacement.

John presented the committee with a Resolution for the Engineering Agreement which has a total of $102K, of which $82K would be funded by TBP, with approximately $10K coming from both CAB and Concord Township.

Action: Motion by Jason Floyd, seconded by David Argubright, to approve the Resolution to enter into the Preliminary Engineering Agreement with Chastain and Associates for Concord Township structure replacement, Section 24-05118-00-BR, and to appropriate TBP and CAB funds accordingly.
