ROLL CALL: Aldermen Payton, Ballard and Tieman present. Alderman Sapienza absent.
MINUTES
Alderman Sapienza made a motion to approve the Finance Committee Minutes of January 6, 2025. Alderman Ballard seconded the motion; motion carried.

FINANCE
Alderman Payton commented on the volatility of the current administration and encouraged all department heads and finance to monitor federal grant assurances.

Reported on CD renewal with Central Bank Illinois-13 weeks.
Budget spreadsheet reminder to all department heads.
Economic Development Director reported Cassidy Tire coming to the old Goodyear location.

CLOSED SESSION
Alderman Payton made a motion to go into closed session to discuss the purchase or lease of real property for the use of the public body is considered, including meetings held for the purpose of discussing whether a particular parcel should be acquired, meetings held to discuss litigation “when an action against, affecting or on behalf of the particular public body has been filed and is pending before a court or administrative tribunal, or when the public body finds that an action is probable or imminent in which case the basis for the finding shall be recorded and entered into the minutes of the closed meeting”, meetings held to discuss the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance or dismissal of specific employees of the public body or legal counsel for the public body, including hearing testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee or legal counsel for the public body to determine its validity. Alderman Ballard seconded the motion. Clerk Bartley called the roll with Aldermen Payton, Ballard and Tieman voting aye; Alderman Sapienza absent. Motion carried.
Closed session began at 4:50 p.m. and ended at 5:08 p.m.
