City of Princeton City Council met Sept. 29

Here are the minutes provided by the council:

The meeting was called to order at 5:04 p.m. by Mayor Raymond Mabry.

Upon roll call, the following answered present, constituting a quorum: Council Members Jerry Neumann, Mike McCall, and Don Saletzki. All present at the meeting offered the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag of the United States of America. Hector Gomez arrived at 5:15 p.m.

PUBLIC COMMENT: None

PRESENTATION: Michael Zearing, Planning & Zoning, introduced Cole McDaniel from Hometown Consulting. McDaniel provided the Council with a background on his professional experience, an overview of the Hometown Consulting team's combined expertise, and a summary of the services they provide. He highlighted areas including GIS and strategic mapping solutions, on-demand economic development services, community marketing and business promotion, incentive program management and technical assistance, comprehensive planning and community visioning, as well as municipal management support. McDaniel also discussed other communities that have utilized Hometown Consulting's services and the growth those communities are now experiencing. He then outlined the consulting services he is proposing to the City. McDaniel then outlined the consulting services he is proposing to the City, reviewing three different options, noting that Option Three is not necessary for the City. Following questions from Council members, attendees from the Planning & Zoning Committee and the Princeton Chamber of Commerce, the consensus was for the City Manager to review the options, provide direction on which option would be best for the City, and report back to the Council.

PUBLIC COMMENT: None

MOTION # 1: Neumann (2nd Gomez) that the Special Meeting be adjourned. The next Regular Meeting of the City Council to be held on Monday, October 6, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall.

VOTE #1

ROLL CALL VOTE: Council Members Neumann, Gomez, McCall, Saletzki, and Mayor Mabry voted Aye.

Motion declared carried. Adjournment at 6:28 p.m.
