City of LaSalle Finance Committee met Oct. 13

CALL TO ORDER

Chairman Ptak called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.

ROLL CALL

Present: Chairman Ptak, Aldermen Demes, Thompson, Reynolds, Lavieri, Jeppson, and Herndon

Excused Absence: Alderman Crane

Others Present: Deputy Clerk Brent Bader, Economic Development Director Curt Bedei, Fire Chief Jerry Janick, City Engineer Brian Brown

A quorum was present.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES

Moved by Alderman Reynolds and seconded by Alderman Thompson to approve the minutes of the Finance Committee meeting from the September 29, 2025, meeting.

Voice vote, all ayes. Motion carried.

DISCUSSION AND RECOMMENDATIONS

Chairman Ptak explained that by law the City’s financial report for the previous year must be completed within six months after the fiscal year end, accepted by the Council, and published in the local newspaper.

Moved by Alderman Demes and seconded by Alderman Thompson to recommend to the Council to accept the Annual Treasurer’s Report for City of La Salle for Fiscal Year ending April 30, 2025.

AYES: Aldermen Demes, Thompson, Ptak, Reynolds, Lavieri, Jeppson, Herndon

NAYS: NONE Absent: Alderman Crane Abstain: NONE

MOTION CARRIED: 7-0-0

Alderman Demes asked for confirmation regarding an unpaid invoice to Echo Electric in the amount of $5,269.69 for damage to a vehicle resulting from an accident that it would be reimbursed to the City through insurance. Others indicated they believed it would be.

Moved by Alderman Thompson and seconded by Alderman Reynolds to adjourn the meeting.

Voice vote, all ayes. Motion carried.

Chairman Ptak adjourned the meeting at 6:03 p.m.
