Liz Bishop, a candidate for the Illinois State House District 76, underscored the importance of acknowledging "the significant contributions of the Mexican-American community to our district and our nation," as Illinois residents celebrated Cinco de Mayo this past weekend. Bishop, who is set to compete against Democrat Amy Muriel Briel in the general election, also encouraged her constituents to "reflect on the strength and diversity that make our community great."
