The second annual International Motor Contest Association (IMCA) One Night Stand is set for Saturday, Aug. 6, at LaSalle Speedway.
The pits open at 3 p.m., and hot laps start at 6 p.m., with time trials to follow, according to LaSalleSpeedway.com.
The event will feature IMCA Late Model, IMCA Modified and IMCA Sport Mod drivers, along with United Midwestern Promoters Street Stock, according to the race track's Facebook page. Late Model pays $3,000 with $300 to start; Modifieds pays $2,000 to win with $200 to start; and Sport Mods pays $2,000 to win with $125 to start. Street Stocks pay $500 to win. None of the divisions require an entry fee.
The payouts this year are higher in the IMCA races than in 2015's inaugural One Night Stand. Last year's winning prizes were $2,000, $1,000 and $400, respectively, according to the speedway's website.
Tickets for the grandstands are $25 apiece, with kids ages 11 and younger admitted free. Pit passes are $35 each.
In recent action at LaSalle Speedway, according to Facebook, Andrew Funk was the feature winner in UMP Street Stock, Ray Bollinger won the UMP Modified feature and Bobby Pierce won the UMP Summer Nationals race on July 4.
In the Street Stock Shootout points standings posted Monday on the speedway's Facebook page, Darrell Dick leads with 328 points, followed by Kevin Lenzen with 320, Chad Rockefeller with 271, Eddie Wolf with 269 and Dennis Wernle with 218.
