Sandwich City Council considers request for two new police vehicles

At a recent meeting, the Sandwich City Council considered a request from the police department to purchase an SUV for the K-9 unit and a new squad car.

Chief Bianchi: Request motion to purchase a replacement squad car at a cost of $24,900.00 anda new SUV for the K-9 program at a cost of $29,500.00

EMA: The Duvick warning siren is inoperable. The estimated cost to replace the unit is $5,800.00

or approximately $3,500.00 to repair providing parts are still available. This is not a budgeted lineitem. Request a motion to either replace the siren or have the current siren repaired.
