LaSalle County Safety Committee reviews facility-inspection results

At a recent meeting, the LaSalle County Health and Safety Committee discussed facility inspection results.

A. Call to Order

B. Introduction of Maureen VanDerBilt

C. Approval of Minutes from Previous Meeting

D. Old Business

· Facility Inspection Results - Review completed Departmental Inspections

i. Consistent monthly inspections of all business units will help to identify deficiencies. Taking action to correct the deficiencies will prevent injuries.

ii. Does each Department have a designated employee that will conduct inspections? If not, seek out an employee that is willing to participate and is detail oriented.

iii. Each Department will need an inspection tailored to its specific business needs.

· Sharps containers

i. Is the installation complete?

· AED update

· Safety Fair Results

E. Safety Training

· Hazard Communication training is complete

· July training is Bloodborne Pathogens and intended for employees who are likely to be exposed to potentially infectious bodily fluids.

E. Departmental Incidents and Issues

· Incidents reported for June

G. New Business

· Next Meeting is August 3, 2016 at 2:30 pm

· Adjournment
