1.ROLL CALL

Board of Education Members Present: Ray Nolasco, Trisha Harrison, Jack Kusek, Jim Faletti, Ted Urbanski, Tom Vallero, Jason Casford

MOTION by Harrison seconded by Vallero that the Board of Education approve the Special Meeting Agenda

Roll Call: Harrison, Vallero, Kusek, Faletti, Urbanski, Casford and Nolasco all voted aye. No nays. Motion carried.

4.ACTION ITEMS

The Board of Education Requests that Board Member Jason Casford Resign

MOTION by Faletti seconded by Harrison that the Board of Education requests that Board member Jason Casford resign.

Roll Call: Faletti, Harrison, Kusek, Urbanski and Nolasco all voted aye. Vallero and Casford voted nay. Motion carried.

5.EXECUTIVE SESSION- Reference: 5 ILCS 120 (c) 1,14 7:06 pm

MOTION by Kusek seconded by Faletti that the Board of Education go into Executive Session.

Roll Call: Kusek, Faletti, Harrison, Urbanski, Vallero, Casford and Nolasco all voted aye. No nays. Motion carried.

6.POSSIBLE ACTION AFTER CLOSED SESSION

A. Approve hiring of Briana Downey as 5th grade teacher.

MOTION by Vallero seconded by Urbanski that the Board of Education approve the hiring of Briana Downey as 5th grade teacher.

Roll Call: Vallero, Urbanski, Harrison, Kusek, Faletti, Casford and Nolasco all voted aye. No nays. Motion carried.

B. Approve hiring of Jan Bartels as teacher-aide.

MOTION by Urbanski seconded by Kusek that the Board of Education approve the hiring of Jan Bartels as teacher-aide.

Roll Call: Urbanski, Kusek, Harrison, Faletti, Vallero, Casford and Nolasco all voted aye. No nays. Motion carried.

C. Approve hiring of Courtney Klobucher as Special Ed Teacher.

MOTION by Urbanski seconded by Harrison that the Board of Education approve the hiring of Courtney Klobucher as Special Ed Teacher.

Roll Call: Urbanski, Harrison, Kusek, Faletti, Vallero, Casford and Nolasco all voted aye. No nays. Motion carried.

D. Approve Closed Session Minutes.

MOTION by Faletti seconded by Kusek that the Board of Education approve Closed Session Minutes.

Roll Call: Faletti, Kusek, Harrison, Urbanski, Vallero, Casford and Nolasco all voted aye. No nays. Motion carried.

7.ADJOURNMENT 9:56 pm

MOTION by Harrison seconded by Vallero that the Board of Education adjourn the April 6, 2017 Special Board Meeting.
