Departmental Incidents
• Starting in December we will change to match the fiscal year, rather than calendar year
• October claims – 0
• Year-to-Date 28 Workers’ Compensation claims vs. 64 Workers’ Compensation claims last year, same time.
o Sprains/strains – 25% of total claims this year (last year 41%)
o Contusion – 29% of total claims this year (last year 23%)
Monthly Safety Topic
• Snow & Ice – preventing slip and fall injuries (handout)
• Snow Shoveling Safety Tips (handout)
