The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) and Musicians on Call (MOC) recently honored U.S. Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) with its Service to Heroes award for his dedication to veterans, especially those at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Maryland.
“I am humbled and honored to receive this award,” Kinzinger said in a statement on his website. “The award belongs to all who answer the call to serve, and all who step up to help our service men and women while they are overseas and when they return home. The work that Musicians on Call does to support our wounded heroes, to lift the spirits of patients across the country recovering in the hospital, it’s incredibly important.”
