The Ladd Village Board met in regular session at 6:30pm on Tuesday, December 26, 2017, in the Village Hall. President Mike Grivetti called the meeting to order and led the Pledge of Allegiance to the American flag.
Roll Call:
Present – Trustees Jim Manning, Jan Martin, Andy Ruggerio, Mike Urbanowski (4)
Absent – Trustees Frank Cattani, Dan Nelson
In attendance – Attorney Pat Barry, Clerk Diane Chandler, Treasurer Rhonda Bezely, Deputy Chief Israel Ramos, Superintendent Doug Englehaupt, Engineer Adam Ossola
Motion Manning – Second Urbanowski to approve the (12-12-17 meeting) minutes, as presented.

Motion Urbanowski – Second Ruggerio to pay bills in the amount of $113,352.89.

Motion Urbanowski – Second Martin to accept the (November 2017) Treasurer’s Report, as presented.

Superintendent’s Report:
School Crossing Pole – Englehaupt reported that the pole with the school crossing signal on Main Street was recently knocked down by a truck. An insurance claim has been filed with the trucking company responsible for the accident.
Backflow Valve Program – Englehaupt asked whether the board would like to pursue a program to provide residents with a sewer backflow valve to alleviate backup in their basements. The cost of a 4” valve is $117 and a 6” valve is $232. Barry plans to look into other policies and report back to the board.

Motion Martin – Second Urbanowski to donate $50 to the Illinois Valley Center for Independent Living (IVCIL) Annual Snowflake Fundraiser.

Motion Ruggerio – Second Urbanowski to purchase 2 60’ wood poles ($2900) and 2 Stresscrete poles ($5602 + $1204 freight).
