Report: La Salle spent $9,396 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at La Salle Elementary School District 122 is down 3 percent from five years ago, according to a Illinois Valley Times analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Lasalle County school district spent $9,731 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $9,396 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 922 to 940.

La Salle's spending in 2016-17 was 28 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
