Report: Ladd spent $9,481 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Ladd Community Consolidated School District 94 is up 43 percent from five years ago, according to a Illinois Valley Times analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Bureau County school district spent $6,625 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $9,481 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 238 to 207.

Ladd's spending in 2016-17 was 27 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
