Report: Wallace spent $13,388 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Wallace Community Consolidated School District 195 is up 16 percent from five years ago, according to a Illinois Valley Times analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Lasalle County school district spent $11,524 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $13,388 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 318 to 320.

Wallace's spending in 2016-17 was 3 percent higher than the state average of $12,973.
