Report: Dalzell Grade spent $9,691 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Dalzell Grade School District 98 is up 10 percent from five years ago, according to a Illinois Valley Times analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Bureau County school district spent $8,773 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $9,691 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 52 to 68.

Dalzell Grade's spending in 2016-17 was 25 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
