Report: Dimmick spent $20,142 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Dimmick Community Consolidated School District 175 is up 26 percent from five years ago, according to a Illinois Valley Times analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Lasalle County school district spent $15,929 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $20,142 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 105 to 169.

Dimmick's spending in 2016-17 was 55 percent higher than the state average of $12,973.
