Report: Streator spent $12,702 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Streator Township High School District 40 is down 1 percent from five years ago, according to a Illinois Valley Times analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Lasalle County school district spent $12,821 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $12,702 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 902 to 943.

Streator's spending in 2016-17 was 2 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
