Village of Minooka Village Board met April 30.

Here is the minutes as provided by the board:

Village President, Patrick Brennan called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. followed by the Pledge of


Allegiance. Trustees present: Dave Deahl, Terry Houchens, Chad Hrechko, Dennis Martin and Barry

Thompson. Trustee Absent: Dick Parrish. Also present: Dan Duffy - Village Administrator, John Harrington,

Finance Director, Justin Meyer, Village Police Chief and Ryan Anderson – Public Works Superintendent.

Public Forum – There was no one present for the public forum.

New Business Items

Public Hearing to Hear Public Comment Concerning the Proposed Fiscal Year 2018-2019 Budget

Public hearing opened at 6:31 p.m. – No one present from the public to speak.

John Harrington briefed the board on the new proposed FY 2018-19 budget.

Public Hearing closed at 6:34 p.m.

Ordinance Adopting Fiscal Year 2018-2019 Budget – Trustee Martin moved, Trustee Houchens seconded

the motion to pass Ordinance #2018-10, Adopting Fiscal Year 2018-2019 Budget.

          Ayes: Hrechko, Martin, Houchens, Thompson, Deahl

          Nays: None

          Absent: Parrish

Motion carried.

Approval of Chairman Reorganization for Committees – Trustee Houchens moved, Trustee Hrechko

seconded the motion for the Approval of Chairman Reorganization for Committees.

          Ayes: Hrechko, Thompson, Houchens, Deahl, Martin

          Nays: None

          Absent: Parrish

Motion carried.

Liquor Commission Report

Consideration of a Class “E” (Special Event) Liquor License, Minooka Lion’s Club - Summer Fest (Location of

event is 0-100 block of E. Mondamin St; June 15 & 16, 2018) – Trustee Thompson moved, Trustee Martin

seconded the motion for the Consideration of a Class “E” (Special Event) Liquor License, Minooka Lion’s

Club - Summer Fest (Location of event is 0-100 block of E. Mondamin St; June 15 & 16, 2018)

          Ayes: Houchens, Martin, Deahl, Hrechko, Thompson

          Nays: None

          Absent: Parrish

Motion carried.

Consideration of a Class “E” (Special Event) Liquor License, Roxi’s Gaming Parlor - End Route for 2nd

Annual Benefit Bike Run (Location of event is parking lot of 524 W. Mondamin Street; June 23, 2018) –

Trustee Thompson moved, Trustee Deahl seconded the motion for the Consideration of a Class “E” (Special

Event) Liquor License, Roxi’s Gaming Parlor - End Route for 2nd Annual Benefit Bike Run (Location of event

is parking lot of 524 W. Mondamin Street; June 23, 2018)

          Ayes: Houchens, Hrechko, Martin, Thompson, Deahl

          Nays: None

          Absent: Parrish

Motion carried.

Executive Session – President Brennan announced there was a need for an executive session for the

discussion of collective bargaining. Trustee Martin moved, Trustee Hrechko seconded the motion to move

into an Executive Session at 6:39 p.m.

          Ayes: Houchens, Hrechko. Martin, Houchens

          Nays: Thompson

          Absent: Parrish

Motion carried.

Trustee Houchens moved, Trustee Martin seconded the motion to move back into a Regular Meeting

Session at 7:31 p.m.

          Ayes: Hrechko, Thompson, Houchens, Deahl, Martin

          Nays: None

          Absent: Parrish

Motion carried.

Action from Executive Session – No action needed.

As Appropriate – Dan Duffy mentioned that everyone had a copy of the Aux Sable Spring RFQ from Upland

and if anyone had any amendments to let him know by the end of the week.

Trustee Thompson thanked John and the department heads for a job well done on the budget this year.

Trustee Thompson moved, Trustee Houchens seconded the motion to adjourn at 7:38 p.m. All voted aye,

meeting adjourned.
