A Motion Was Made By Zborowski, Seconded By Argubright to Approve the cost estimate for the Motor Fuel Tax Fund. Ayes: Porter, Rivara, Zborowski, Argubright, Finley.
A Motion Was Made By Zborowski, Seconded By Argubright to Approve the Engineering Agreement for the Motor Fuel Tax Fund. Ayes: Porter, Rivara, Zborowski, Argubright, Finley.
A Motion Was Made By Rivara, Seconded By Porter to accept the draft of the Oglesby Land Development Code and refer it to the Oglesby Zoning Commission for a public hearing. Ayes: Porter, Rivara, Zborowski, Argubright, Finley.
A public hearing for the Zoning Commission, Plan Commission, and Zoning Board of Appeals was set for Wednesday August 29, 2018 at 6:30pm.
A Motion Was Made By Argubright, Seconded By Zborowski to Place on File Ordinance 1033-082018, Ordinance Authorizing the Execution of an Agreement between the City of Oglesby and Cookie Kingdom Inc. Ayes: Porter, Rivara, Zborowski, Argubright, Finley.
A Motion Was Made By Porter, Seconded By Rivara to Ratify the City of Oglesby’s decision to withdraw from the cost sharing agreement for the proposed Shared Police Services. Ayes: Porter, Rivara, Argubright, Finley. Abstain: Zborowski
A Motion Was Made By Porter, Seconded By Rivara to Approve the request from LaSalle Peru Band Parent Association for door to door candy sales on Tues Sept. 11 form 5-8pm. Ayes: Porter, Rivara, Zborowski, Argubright, Finley.
The Mayor asked for comments from the public.
Wand Lent asked if the final Summer Fun Fest Financials were available. Mayor Finley told her we are still waiting on a few more bills.
Greg Stein asked the board when considering the new building code to think about personal residents selling back power from their solar panels. Attorney Andreoni explained that the land development code wasn’t just about solar; it’s a revision of the whole code. Greg also said he was in favor of the City pulling out of the shared services but wonders how we are going to handle the police pension issues. He also asked about our 911 dispatch service.
Sarah Cudlip asked about specifics for the Cookie Kingdom project and if they were making a new lot or using the City lot. Commissioner Argubright told her that they are making a new lot in the back.

Porter- Commissioner Porter said that the Fire Department was awarded a $15,500 grant for an extractor and dryer for fire gear.
Mayor Finley- Mayor said the Back to School Bash that City had last Thursday was a great success and that the kids seemed to be having a great time. Aug 8 from 11-1 the City will be serving a hot dog lunch for $2 as a fundraiser for Senica Square. Lunches include a hot dog, chips, drink, and a scoop of ice cream. Aug 10 is our Boots, Brews, and BBQ. BBQ dinner is available starting at 6pm, gates open at 7, and the Ethan Bell band will play from 8-10pm. There is a $3 cover charge and funds raised will go towards Senica Square improvements.
A Motion Was Made By Porter, Seconded By Argubright at 7:24 pm to enter into Closed Session to discuss the minutes of meetings lawfully closed under the Open Meeting Act, whether for purposes of approval by the body of the minutes or semi-annual review of the minutes as mandated. Ayes: Porter, Rivara, Zborowski, Argubright, Finley.
