City of Oglesby City Council met August 27.

A Special Joint Meeting Of The Oglesby City Council And Oglesby Library Board Was Held On Monday, August 27, 2018, At The Oglesby Public Library. The Meeting Was Called To Order At 6:30 p.m.
Present: Commissioners Rivara, Porter, Argubright, Mayor Finley, City Clerk Mertes.
The Library board requested the City Council attend the meeting to discuss the direction of the Oglesby Public Library. Library Board President Rich Vollmer presented a list of items and ideas that the Library is requesting financial help from the City for. The list includes: new computers, security system, more employees, energy efficient lights, technology updates, addition to the building along with a coffee shop and book sale area.
Mayor Finley responded to the request by saying the council will review the material and respond via letter.
More discussion followed about TIF”s and allowed uses for the TIF funds.
A Motion To Adjourn Was Made At 7:38 pm By Argubright, Seconded By Porter. Ayes: Porter, Rivara, Argubright, Finley.
