Report: Rutland spent $19,941 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Rutland Community Consolidated School District 230 is up 7.3 percent from five years ago, according to a Illinois Valley Times analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the La Salle County school district spent $18,583 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $19,941 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 77 to 73.

Rutland's spending in 2017-18 was 49.5 percent higher than the state average of $13,337.
