Report: Ohio spent $30,074 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Ohio Community High School District 505 is up 11.3 percent from five years ago, according to a Illinois Valley Times analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Bureau County school district spent $27,031 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $30,074 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 34 to 35.

Ohio's spending in 2017-18 was 125.5 percent higher than the state average of $13,337.
