Report: Dalzell spent $9,640 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Dalzell School District 98 is down 14.1 percent from five years ago, according to a Illinois Valley Times analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Bureau County school district spent $11,219 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $9,640 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 57 to 59.

Dalzell's spending in 2017-18 was 27.7 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
