Report: Nettle Creek spent $14,038 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Nettle Creek Community Consolidated School District 24C is up 11.3 percent from five years ago, according to a Illinois Valley Times analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Grundy County school district spent $12,615 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $14,038 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 88 to 86.

Nettle Creek's spending in 2017-18 was 5.3 percent higher than the state average of $13,337.
