Minooka (Grundy County) home prices rise in 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in 2017 in Minooka in Grundy County rose by $14,500 while total sales increased by 17.4%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through December of 2017, there were 216 homes sold, with a median sale price of $195,500 - a 8% increase over the $181,000 median sale price for the previous year. There were 184 homes sold in Minooka in 2016.

The median sales tax in Minooka for 2017 was $4,793. In 2016, the median sales tax was $4,560. This marks an increase of 5.1%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.5%.
