Gardner home prices rise in 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in 2017 in Gardner rose by $19,000 while total sales increased by 3.3%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through December of 2017, there were 31 homes sold, with a median sale price of $129,000 - a 17.3% increase over the $110,000 median sale price for the previous year. There were 30 homes sold in Gardner in 2016.

The median sales tax in Gardner for 2017 was $2,864. In 2016, the median sales tax was $3,004. This marks an decrease of 4.7%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.2%.
