Marseilles home prices fall in 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in 2017 in Marseilles fell by $22,000 while total sales decreased by 22%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through December of 2017, there were 71 homes sold, with a median sale price of $97,000 - a 18.5% decrease over the $119,000 median sale price for the previous year. There were 91 homes sold in Marseilles in 2016.

The median sales tax in Marseilles for 2017 was $3,022. In 2016, the median sales tax was $2,952. This marks an increase of 2.4%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 3.1%.
