Illinois Valley Community Hospital issued the following announcement on June 27.
A 2019 graduate of LaSalle-Peru Township High School, Barrie plans to pursue a physical therapy degree at Carroll University in Waukesha, Wisconsin.
The Lamps Scholarship was established by the family of the late Brian Lamps, initially a patient at the IVCH Center for Physical Rehabilitation and Aquatics and later a client in the CPRA’s wellness program.
A bench in Lamps’ memory sits near the CPRA entrance.
