City of Oglesby issued the following announcement on Sept. 23.
Oglesby’s Harvest fest is a MUST-attend event for the whole family. The day begins with a Craft and Vendor Fair from 11 am to 6 pm. This vendor fair boasts more than 30 vendors.
Line up for the costume parade at 2:45 at Mr. Salsa’s. Parade starts at 3 pm. Following the parade be sure to visit the Family Fun Activites, from 3-5:00 pm. These activites include a hot dogs, chips, s’mores, face painting, petting zoo, and pumpkins for the first 200 kids.
Adults, stick around for the Zombie Pub Crawl from 6:30 to 10:30. Ending spot is PJ’s Lucky Dollar.
Schedule of Events
11 am-6 pm: Craft and Vendor Fair
11 am –6 pm: Bags tournament. $20.00 buy in per person. Registration ends at 10:30, blind draw double elimination.
**Bag sets needed for tournament. If anyone has any to donate please contact City Hall at 815-883-3389**
3 pm: Parade & Trick or Treating downtown
3 pm-5 pm: Family Fun Activities. Includes: magician, face painting and petting zoo.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: Help! Volunteers needed for the family activities on Saturday, Oct. 19th. Can you give us an hour or so of your time to ensure that city- sponsored events like this continue? Call 883-3389 to volunteer or for more information.
