City of La Salle Streets, Alleys and Traffic Committee met Dec. 30.
Here is the minutes provided by the committee:
Chairman Bacidore called the meeting to order at 6:10 p.m.
Present- Alderman Bacidore, Alderman Ptak, Alderman Reynolds, Alderman Jeppson, Alderman Lavieri,
Alderman Crane, Alderman Herndon
Absent- None
Others Present:
A quorum was present.
In regard to the request to remove a No Parking sign at 626 Union Street, Chairman Bacidore explained that an ordinance authorizing this sign was not found. The resident requesting the removal of the sign owns all of the properties on the side of the road where the sign is posted. He indicated to Chairman Bacidore that he has also spoken to other neighbors on the block and no one had an issue with the sign being removed. He did request that the 25-mph speed limit sign remain. All committee members were in favor of removing the sign.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:13 p.m.
