O'Glesby Fire Protection District responded to 44 calls in 2018 - 37.5 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Oglesby included 26 fires - 10 structure fires, two vehicle fires and 14 other fires. The fire department also responded to three calls for ruptures, explosions or overheating.

In all, the department saw $299,000 in fire loss - or about $11,500 per fire.

The department also received 15 false calls.

One fire service member was injured in fire-related incidents and one was injured in non fire-related incidents.

The O'Glesby Fire Protection District had an annual budget of $24,141 in 2018.
