Mazon Fire Protection District responded to 30 calls in 2018 - 3.2 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Mazon included 29 fires - 10 structure fires, two vehicle fires and 17 other fires.

In all, the department saw $5,450,500 in fire loss - or about $187,948 per fire.

The department also received one false call.

The Mazon Fire Protection District had an annual budget of $111,345 in 2018.
