City of Lasalle Streets, Alleys and Traffic Committee met Oct. 19.
Here is the minutes provided by the committee:
Chairman Bacidore called the meeting to order at 6:34 p.m.
Present- Chairman Bacidore, Alderman Ptak, Alderman Reynolds, Alderman Lavieri, Alderman Jeppson, Alderman Herndon, Alderman Crane
Absent-
Others Present: Alderman Demes, City Clerk Carrie Brown, Deputy City Clerk Brent Bader
A quorum was present.
Chairman Bacidore opened the discussion regarding a request from Rosalinda Bence for a speed bump at 411 Garfield Avenue to slow down traffic in the neighborhood. Alderman Lavieri said it was his understanding the Council wasn’t going to be putting down any more speed bumps. Chairman Bacidore said that was his understanding as well, but one was placed on LaHarpe Street. Alderman Lavieri said it was decided after that speed bump was placed.
The request was unanimously denied by the Streets, Alleys and Traffic Committee and the recommendation of denial was forwarded to the City Council.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:35 p.m.
