City of La Salle Finance Committee met July 12.

Here is the minutes provided by the committee:

ROLL CALL

Present: Chairman Ptak, Aldermen Demes, Jeppson, Lavieri, Herndon

Excused Absence: None

Others Present: Deputy Clerk Brent Bader, Alderman Bacidore, Alderman Reynolds, Supt. of Public Works Patrick Watson, Treasurer Virginia Kochanowski, Finance Director John Duncan, Economic Development Director Leah Inman

A quorum was present.

Alderman Lavieri made mention of a correction that needed to be made from the June 28, 2021 minutes. Chairman Ptak adjourned the meeting June 28, 2021, not Alderman Lavieri as stated in the previous minutes.

Moved by Alderman Herndon and seconded by Alderman Jeppson to approve and place on file the amended minutes of the Finance Committee for June 28, 2021.

Each and every alderman has a copy.

Voice vote, all ayes. Motion carried.

Alderman Demes questioned a bill in regards to LaSalle Police, Body and Fender. There were a couple police vehicles that were brought in recently for damage repair and there will be insurance reimbursements for that bill.

Alderman Demes also questioned two bills from Frank’s Lock and Safe. Locks were replaced due to employee turnover.

Approval for purchase of Pump Station and Laboring Supervisor Service Vehicle, F350 with Service Box, State Bid of $57,695.

AYE: Alderman Demes, Lavieri, Jeppson, Herndon, Chairman Ptak

NAY: None Absent: None Abstain: None

MOTION CARRIED: 5-0

The Finance Director Duncan mentioned that the committee has the final draft for the fiscal year 2021-2022 budget appropriations. This final draft will be going onto the City Council meeting for approval.

There were no more questions or comments from the public.

Chairman Ptak adjourned the meeting at 6:10 p.m.
