City of Ottawa Special Events Committee met May 19.

Meeting called to order at 5:30pm with 7 members present
Present: Mike Dougherty, Heidy Eisert, Lucas Hennenfent, Peggy Schneider, Jim Reilly, Jani Eichelkraut, Candy Moore
Absent: Rich Crum
Guest: Pat Mansor – perspective member After introduction and her wish to be included in Special Events – all welcomed Pat to committee
Funding request: Community Appreciation and Praise in the Park event scheduled for June 10th. After discussion awarded $300.00 for sound system. Motion Jim second Jani

Favorable Discussion of Kites in Flight Event
Old Business: Music in Park: trying to schedule food trucks – 1 per concert – Rich is working on this, Popcorn Wagon should be open for all. 3000 rack cards to be distributed
Parade status: Jim working on event, member discussion on parade will continue next meeting Discussed Music in the Streets – to continue
