Due to the summer temperatures and high humidity affecting the region this week (week of Aug. 1), the University Union on the Western Illinois University-Macomb campus is designated as a cooling center for area residents.
The University Union is open from 7 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday-Friday. A drinking water refilling station is located near the University Union Bookstore entrance and on the first floor near the Office of Student Engagement.
While the food court is closed, vending machines are available in the lower level. The Union is closed on Saturdays and Sundays.
