City of LaSalle Street, Alleys, and Traffic Committee met July 11.

Chairman Bacidore called the Meeting to order at 6:13 pm
ROLL CALL
Present: Chairman Bacidore, Aldermen Ptak, Reynolds, Lavieri, Herndon, Crane Excused Absence: Alderman Jeppson
Voice vote, all ayes. Motion is carried.
Others Present: Finance Director John Duncan, Deputy Clerk Brent Bader, Supt. Of Public Works Patrick Watson, Treasurer Virginia Kochanowski, Fire Chief Jerry Janick, City Engineer Brian Brown, Alderman Thompson
A quorum was present.
Moved by Alderman Reynolds and seconded by Alderman Ptak to approve and place on file the minutes of the Streets, Alley, and Traffic Committee for June 27, 2022. Each and every alderman has a copy.
Voice vote, all ayes. Motion carried.
Chairman Bacidore began the discussion in regards to placing a “Handicapped Parking” sign for the resident at 1216 Third St. Deputy Bader did mention that the resident at 1216 3rd St. did drop off a copy of his handicap placard. The committee members went back and forth discussion the placement of the handicap sign. The committee did decide to place the sign at the second spot from the driveway, allowing the resident at 1220 3rd to still have a space and the resident at 1216 3rd to have the “Handicapped Parking” sign behind. Watson was aware of the correct placement for the “Handicapped Parking” sign.
Moved by Alderman Reynolds and seconded by Alderman Ptak to approve the recommendation regarding adding a “Handicapped Parking” sign in front of 1216 Third Street.

Resident John Arbisi brought this issue to the SAT Committee regarding adding “Cross Traffic Does Not Stop” signs to the Second and Marquette streets intersection, Second and Gooding Streets intersection, and Second and Wright streets intersection.
Moved by Alderman Lavieri and seconded by Alderman Herndon to approve the recommendation regarding adding “Cross Traffic Does Not Stop” signs to the Second and Marquette streets intersection, Second and Gooding Streets intersection, and Second and Wright streets intersection.
