Illinois state Sen. Sue Rezin (R-Morris) recently expressed gratitude to the people who helped her celebrate her birthday.
In an Oct. 27 Facebook post, Rezin shared that she turned “THE BIG 60.”
“Thanks to my family and friends for the surprise party,” she said in the post. “I am very thankful for all of the blessings in my life.”
Rezin has been busy during the past few months. She recently spent time campaigning for Sandy Hamilton and wrote in a recent Facebook post, “Sandy is a mom, coach and small business owner who is concerned about the economy and the safety of our communities.”
In another Facebook post in September, Rezin wrote about her experience hosting the Highway Naming Ceremony for the late Coal City Police Chief Dennis M. Neary.
“It was an honor and a privilege to host the Highway Naming Ceremony for the late Dennis M Neary yesterday at Campbell Park in Coal City,” Rezin said in the Sept. 15 post. “Thank you to everyone who shared efforts to make this event such a wonderful tribute. Gold Bless you, Dennis Neary and the Neary Family!”
Rezin’s staff also traveled around the state throughout the summer and autumn. Rezin announced traveling office hours earlier this month in the Plano and Newark areas.
