Chief Jerry Janick discussed the need for the floor resurfacing at the LaSalle Fire Station. Chief Janick shared a current picture of a bay from the Fire Department that was built in 1988 and still has their original floors. He mentioned that he was interested in doing the flake like the city hall steps but found out that the flake would not be the most durable for a fire station. Janick did receive a quote on doing a quartz floor from R&R. The coat included a total resurfacing with 2-3 coats of epoxy with the lines embedded in it. Janick did have this in appropriations for this year. He budgeted $40,000 and the bid came in at $40,137.
Moved by Alderman Jeppson and seconded by Alderman Laveri to approve the recommendation regarding floor resurfacing at the La Salle Fire Station.
