City of Peru Committee of a Whole met March 11

A Committee Of A Whole meeting was called to order by City Clerk Dave Bartley in the Peru City Council Chambers on Monday, March 11, 2024 at 6:00 p.m.
City Clerk Dave Bartley called the roll with Aldermen Ballard, Tieman, Payton, Edgcomb, Sapienza, O’Sadnick, Lukosus and Moreno present, Mayor Kolowski present.
PUBLIC COMMENT
MINUTES
Clerk Bartley presented the Committee of A Whole Minutes of February 26, 2024. Alderman Lukosus made a motion that the minutes be received and placed on file. Alderman O’Sadnick seconded the motion; motion carried.
CLOSED SESSION
Alderman Lukosus made a motion to go into closed session to discuss collective negotiating matters between the public body and its employees or their representatives, or deliberations concerning salary schedules for one or more classes of employees, meetings where the purchase or lease of real property for the use of the public body is considered, including meetings held for the purpose of discussing whether a particular parcel should be acquired, meetings to discuss the operation by a municipality of a municipal utility or the operation of a municipal power agency or a municipal natural gas agency when the discussion involves (i) contracts relating to the purchase, sale or delivery of electricity or natural gas or (ii) the results or conclusions of load forecast studies. Alderman Sapienza seconded the motion. Clerk Bartley called the roll with Aldermen Ballard, Tieman, Payton, Edgcomb, Sapienza, O’Sadnick, Lukosus and Moreno voting aye; motion carried.
Closed session began at 6:03 p.m. and ended at 6:50 p.m.
Alderman Sapienza made a motion to reopen the meeting. Alderman Lukosus seconded the motion. Clerk Bartley called the roll with Aldermen Ballard, Tieman, Payton, Edgcomb, Sapienza, O’Sadnick, Lukosus and Moreno present, Mayor Kolowski present.
ADJOURNMENT
Alderman Lukosus made a motion that the meeting be adjourned. Alderman Payton seconded the motion and motion carried.
Meeting adjourned 6:52 p.m.
