Bureau County Board Zoning Committee met Nov. 4

Here is the agenda provided by the committee:

1. Public Comment.

2. Minutes approval October 7, 2025 regular meeting.

4. Zoning Officer's Report.

• Village of Ohio request for a CONDITIONAL USE to build a new 42' x 96' park shelter with restrooms, add a 40' x 100' tandem pickleball court and install new playground equipment. Existing park shelter and tennis courts will be removed and tennis courts will be replaced by Washington Street with parking stalls for the upgraded park facility. The property is identified as being located on the Northeast corner of S. Washington St. & E. Green River Rd. (IL Rt. 92) Ohio. Property is located in Section 9 of Ohio Township.

Parcel #04-09-455-001 & #04-09-455-003.

• Northwestern Illinois District of the Church of the Nazarene for a CONDITIONAL USE to bring former church facility into compliance with the Zoning Ordinance. In addition to existing onsite parking areas, applicant also wishes to use adjacent lot to the South, owned by the Village of Malden, for offsite parking. Applicant has also made private agreements with the bank and the Village hall to use their lots as overflow parking when needed. The property is identified as being located on Northeast corner of Cherry St. & Main St., 324 W. Main St., Malden. Property is located in Section 29 of Berlin Township.
